Commissioner William "Bill" Kerdyk Jr. was elected to office in 1995. He is currently serving his fourth consecutive term. Commissioner Kerdyk has always strived to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the City of Coral Gables.
Some of his initiatives include the Parknership Program which is an alliance between private citizens, corporate citizens and City government to assist in underwriting improvements, enhancements and acquisitions to City parks and historic fountains. In addition, he has been a strong proponent of traffic reduction measures including his involvement in the newly instituted trolley. He has held leadership positions and served on many local organizations. He is currently an appointee of the Governor to the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). This board is an integral part of the planning process for traffic throughout Dade County.
