Participants will learn pool safety through fun games and team activities, CPR, Water rescue techniques, First aid management and enjoy daily challenges which will strengthen communication and leadership skills.
Each graduating Jr. Lifeguard will have the opportunity to volunteer and earn free pool admission for the summer. Jr. Lifeguard duties will include rule enforcement, guest assistance, customer service and assisting lifeguards with selected daily tasks. Maximum 20 participants.
Class includes: T-shirt, whistle, Certificate of Completion, Certificate of Volunteer Hours and participation in the Jr. Orange Bowl Parade in December of 2008.
Participants must bring: Towel, sunscreen, change of clothes and a snack (snacks can be purchased at the Venetian Pool Café).
