The Public Works Department strives to provide quality customer service to residents, the business community and other City Departments through its various divisions:
Central Division
The division oversees the routing of all voice and written communications to the appropriate division within the Department. Division requests are entered into the EDEN Customer Service module for action.
Engineering Division
The division provides engineering and architectural services for the City using a combination of in-house personnel and outside consultants for various projects (paving, drainage, sanitary sewers, force mains, traffic, etc.). The division reviews plans, issues permits and inspects construction in the public right-of-way consisting of roadways, waterways and easements.
Facilities Maintenance Division
The division maintains all City-owned facilities including buildings, parks, fountains, plazas, entrances, parking lots, parking garages and street lights. The division is also responsible for providing remodeling and routine maintenance.
Utilities Division
The division provides maintenance to the City's sanitary sewer and stormwater sewer systems.
R.O.W. Maintenance & Enforcement Division
The division provides essential services such as street sweeping, roadway/sidewalk repairs, pressure cleaning and canal maintenance.
